Our “Matte Classic Slugger” Doughboy lid has a unique take on a brimmed hat with a twist allows the wearer to be on the cutting edge of novelty helmet design. It is created to be worn forward or backward depending on the wearer.

Description

Mike’s Pro Lids is a proudly American owned company.

Because or lids are designed to be worn forward or backward, Mike’s Pro Lids do not fit like a traditional helmet. We use an open-cell foam in the liner which compresses without adding much pressure to the head. The liner is removable and washable.

Mike’s Pro Lids are a novelty lid and do not have a D.O.T. certification.

Mike’s Pro Lids are designed to look like a baseball cap. We did not want the lid to look like a perfect dome so we added “dents” to look more like a ball cap. However, scratches are not part of the design and may occur during shipping. If you receive a lid with scratches, please email us at [email protected] and we’ll get it fixed.

    Great helmet and fits well. Wish I would have got the flat bill one. The picture looks flat but I didn’t research more to figure out it was curved upward some which is my fault. Overall love the look but will eventually get the flat bill.

    Fits great after swapping out the inner shell lining. Nice that you have options and can get the right fit based on if you wearing a hat or bandana underneath helmet. Looks great too.

    The helmet looks basically round so I thought it would not fit very well because my head is oval shaped.
    However, I was surprised how well it fit. It is actually very comfortable. My hat size is 7 3/8 and it fit perfectly. It fits nice and low, right down to the top of my ears.
    It seems to be very well made but I gave it 4 stars because the strap seems to be a little thin and is attached with 1 rivet on each side. It does feel nice and secure for now and I hope it stays that way.
    I would buy this again. It’s really cool.
