Our Gloss Black Doughboy lid has a unique take on a brimmed hat with a twist allows the wearer to be on the cutting edge of novelty helmet design. It is created to be worn forward or backward depending on the wearer.

Description

Mike’s Pro Lids is a proudly American owned company.

Because or lids are designed to be worn forward or backward, Mike’s Pro Lids do not fit like a traditional helmet. We use an open-cell foam in the liner which compresses without adding much pressure to the head. The liner is removable and washable.

Mike’s Pro Lids are a novelty lid and do not have a D.O.T. certification.

Mike’s Pro Lids are designed to look like a baseball cap. We did not want the lid to look like a perfect dome so we added “dents” to look more like a ball cap. However, scratches are not part of the design and may occur during shipping. If you receive a lid with scratches, please email us at [email protected] and we’ll get it fixed.

    I saw this helmet on instagram. I asked about 2 month how make this thing. At this time mikes prolids was a new company. After 2 month someone told me where to get it. First i ordered one and i loved. I told here in germany everyone i know and showed the helmet. Every germany harley community in Facebook. Everybody love it. After 3 month i order 2 and 1 for my wife. 2 of my and 1 of my wifes is been painted in different styles. And one of them i let it simple black gloss. I love every single of them.     I like it for the most part. I ordered the size I normally wear and it fits like a glove with nothing on my head. However… I also ordered the cover and when I put it on the helmet does not fit my head. So I wasted my money on the cover in which I ordered with intentions of keeping it on at all times to protect the surface of the helmet. When I wear helmet frontwards the left strap hurts my ear for whatever reason. I would order again, but if I had to do over I wouldโ€™ve ordered the bigger size. Too late now, is what it is.

    If this helmet said Versace on it, I would believe this. Chinstrap, wouldn’t expect it to be special, but it is. Liner, wouldn’t expect this to be special either, but it is. Packaging, come on, yeah, special (QUALITY & HIGH-END DETAIL).

    If it was DOT I’d give it 5 stars, but that is something I knew before purchasing. As far as the fit and look goes this helmet is on point. I tried another manufacturer with the same style helmet and it just didn’t look right at all or even sit on my head good. If you don’t care about the DOT and you’re looking for this style you will not be disappointed.

    Good job I had ordered a flat boy glossy black from Amazon cause at the time u didn’t have any glossy black doughboys so I ordered fbgb and got a flat boy but matte black didn’t want to return it cause at that time I needed a helmet any thing u can do maybe a discount or something or is that Amazon’s fault?
